How to tie the Snook Muddler Minnow

Materials Needed:

2/0 Saltwater Hook
White Thread
White Craft Fur
Chartreuse Craft Fur
E.P. Sparkle
Craft Fur Dubbing
White Wool
Step 1: Start by securing the hook in your vise. Make a thread base along the hook’s shank, starting at the eye and ending just before the bend.

Step 2: Measure a clump of white craft fur against the hook. The fur should be roughly the length of the hook shank. Tie in the craft fur at the bend of the hook, wrapping the thread tightly to keep the fur in place.

Step 3: Tie a clump of chartreuse craft fur just before the white fur. The chartreuse fur should be slightly shorter than the white fur so the white fur extends past the chartreuse fur.

Step 4: Tie a small amount of E.P. Sparkle just in front of the chartreuse fur. The Sparkle should be about the same length as the chartreuse fur.

Step 5: Take a small amount of white craft fur dubbing and dub it onto the thread. Wrap the dubbing around the hook’s shank, covering gaps between the fur and Sparkle.

Step 6: Make a bulky wool head compared to the rest of the dubbing.

Step 7: Add a small amount of E.P. Sparkle and tie it in just before the white fur. The Sparkle should be about the same length as the white fur.

Step 8: Whip finish.
