Muertos Bay Fly Fishing Report 6/13/23

If ever you wished to catch a trophy roosterfish on the fly, that time is now! Get down here at all cost. Big fish are in plenty of places, but they are smart, so pack an extra bag for your “A game.” Productive flies have been bigger sardinas from E.P. roosetfish mullet flies, and Get Some Gummies. We are still having some success with some trophy sized dorado, and this last week boated the years first marlin on the fly with El Gallo Fly Fishing Lodge. It is starting to get hot out there folks, so be careful. Bring that sunscreen, and slather yourself with a thick layer of it. Wear your sun clothes, with a good hat, sunglasses, and consider bringing some sun gloves. Also have a good plan to keep hydrated. As the weather heats up, so does the fishing! And those that can stand the heat, will have better and better opportunities at trophy roosterfish. Stay Salty Amigos!
