The season is upon us! There are plenty of roosters around, but this last week proved less opportunity than most. Still plenty of fish, and some that aggressively boiled on bait, just less frequently than the prior week. The roosterfish are acting like they are hip to the game. When this happens, an angler might get just one or two shots, then the fish jets off for the next thing. Look for less pressured water, and capitalize on the chances that you do get. This is where preparation separates the haves from the have-nots. Water temps are in the 75-77 degree range, and the high temps of the day are in the low 90’s. Successful flies are E.P. sardinas, and sardine patterns made from S.F. Fibers. If you need help practicing for this pesky pesca, please reach out to us directly, we will get you in the game!
